Silicones are finishing auxiliaries which are usually sorted out into Macro and Micro silicones depending on particle size. Macroemulsions can generally provide fabric elasticity, resilience and smoothness, whereas microemulsions enhance treated fabric softness and fluffiness. These products feature good handling strength and are extremely versatile. They can be used in various treatment applications. Combined in finishing compound systems, they are ideal for textile ennobling, especially for clothing or furnishing fabrics.
