Finishing requires accurate dipping treatment pH control and adjustment, generally with acid pH, which increases the suitability of several softeners to exhaust applications, facilitates crosslinking or fixation reactions and stabilizes the dip bath. Also, product specifications often require acid pH for finished products, which is only achieved by using non-temperature sensitive products.
